If the 511 are loose on my calves should i try to 510s? I have tiny calves so would a pair of 510s do the trick?

Can I still find Levis 501 STF Khaki at Macy's?
If not, Where can I find them?
Aug 26, 2010 @ 00:41
I dont think they're availible at Macy's anymore. I have a pair in size 32x32 that I haven't wore since September. LMK if you're interested

hey guys will an 8.2 leg opening on my 501's drag on authentics?
Aug 26, 2010 @ 17:34
Xarticulate, what size are those stfs
Aug 26, 2010 @ 18:31
*small update on my 501stf sized down 2-3 (28 x 34)
after a week and a half of solid wear, they have become comfortable. waist has stretched; it is still a little tight, but becoming more and more comfortable everyday. buttons are quick and easy to button and there is no pain anymore. despite what you guys say, i'm loving the fit.

cock room has also expanded blushing

are those 501 STF these?
Aug 26, 2010 @ 21:42

Yeah, I decided to just give them to my brother, they ended up being too soft for me.

28x36 sized down one.

nahh, they're just the the regular 501stf indigo
Aug 27, 2010 @ 11:41
i dont understand why you would size down so much are you trying to get untapered 511's? lmao

theres a point where you need to realize the cut can't provide what you want and sizing down 20 isnt gonna change that
Aug 27, 2010 @ 12:26
^i wanted a roomier 511 that was rigid for $40. that is what i got =)
there is a point where you need to realize that the cut can, and did provide the fit i wanted... and sizing down 2-3 did exactly that.

i apologize if i am too optimistic and atypical for your taste. the way i do things doesn't have to be your way ;)
Aug 27, 2010 @ 15:01
is there a special name for levis that dont display the waist or inseam numbers on the leather patch only the model number. I copped some levi from sufu and its a rigid 501 with red line selvedge, and it says 501 on the leather patch but is blank for both the waist and legnth.

Those look huge btw. Even after 2 soaks I doubt that they will fit the way you want. How did you size them?

I personally set the stacks how I wanted them and sat in the tub for an hour in warm-hot water. Make sure it's not too hot to avoid burning blinkyeyes .

They're 29x36. I sized down one on the waist. Should I just give them two hot soaks?

I would try 1 hot soak for an hour and see how they fit. I've done 2 soaks before and found that the denim loses a lot of the stiffness after a 2nd soak. If it's a nice day out, wear them around when they're wet(not dripping). It'll help with the creasing and you can force the stacks the way you want them.

Pics of my recently soaked STF. Sized down 1, 31x34.
