Self Edge x Imperial = SEXI14

Imperial, our sole brand from Australia, comes back with another jean made for lovers of slim cuts. This is a further interpretation of the slim centimeter cut, this time tweaking the silhouette a bit to match up to the 18cm fit. This fit isn't necessarily slimmer than the last collaboration we did with Imperial, it's just a little different in it's shaping.

We've had Imperial produce this collaboration jean in Japan, whereas their regular jeans are made of Japanese fabrics but cut and sewn in Australia. The denim is a 15oz unsanforized selvedge fabric that's a super loose weave available in both indigo and black, both are sure to age very well considering the texture of the denim and the loomstate nature of the fabric. The denim was woven in Okayama and the jean was cut and sewn within minutes of the denim mill.
The denim has a very unique feel to it, it's abrasive at first but definitely not very rigid due to the lack of starch. The belt loops are rolled for sturdiness, the pack pockets are riveted, and the inside pocket bags are screened.

seriously imperial should just make a 19cm model
Dec 08, 2010 @ 19:42
not really feeling the cut, but it might just be the model.

Imperial Dukes look so fresh but they're too long on me D:

Thinking about copping the SEXI14's, I was wondering if I could get some help with the size. I'm usually 32 in most jeans, and looking at the measurements it seems like once they stretched they'd be perfect. I'm just concerned about shrinkage after doing a soak. Guys at SuFu seem to have been sizing TTS and they look decent. Also, does the unsanforzied denim require any special care that stuff like APC's wouldn't? Kinda a noob at this, any help would be appreciated.

Sup fellas, its been a minute since I've posted an update on my dukes. Recap: First wear was late fall of 2008 with very little wear until fall 2009. Since then i've washed these once and been wearing almost everyday. Crotch has been ripped and fixed. Picture quality isn't the greatest and the color representation is slightly off (for example, the area below the knees are a lot darker) but rest assured, these have not been edited etc. Will try to get better pictures soon.

Those need a hem. If they were a bit slimmer it probably would've looked fine.

This. Plus id get em tappered from the knee down anyways.
Jan 16, 2011 @ 15:27
Yikes... Those either need be hemmed and tapered or u need to sell those off and get a different cut..
Jan 16, 2011 @ 16:19
Don't do anything to them brah. They look dope ^
Jan 16, 2011 @ 17:39
Am I missing something, because those look just fine too me.
Jan 16, 2011 @ 18:18
The top half is fine but from the knee down it's looking kind of sloppy because of the stacks and big leg opening. With a taper it'd look better
Jan 16, 2011 @ 20:33
definitely think you need a hem, just looks really messy
Jan 19, 2011 @ 17:26
Thinking of buying a used pair of Dukes.

But damn @ 38 inch inseam. I'm only 6'0; do most people have them hemmed? Or do they just stack for days?
Jan 19, 2011 @ 19:56
hey guys yeah i took off 4 inches and got them tapered they fit way better now

is sizing down on dukes recommended? i'm looking for a slim fit
Jan 20, 2011 @ 15:24
^ You can size down 1, but it's going to be extremely tight and hard to button up.
Jan 20, 2011 @ 16:12
^ they arent that tight sizing down 1 but i think they fit better overall when you do size down 1.. My recommendation is going down 1 on dukes..
Jan 22, 2011 @ 12:43
yeah i myself sized down one. I would recommend it since as you break them in they will get loose but still be snug enough for you to not have to wear a belt. will post pics later on
