^I had the same problem as you when I first looked around Dunhua. I couldn't find CLS or Trinity either (maybe they changed locations?). Anyway, you should check out UnderxPeace (don't confuse it with Undercover). Dont know what brands you are looking for but when I was there a couple of weeks ago they had some BAPE, BBC, Vis, NHBD and a grip of other things. It should be located in the same area as Co-Oper and is right next to a store called Axis.

Another store that I found in Dunhua that's located in an area off the map that was posted here is JP Show. Quick run down of brands they carry were Wtaps, BAPE, Supreme, NHBD, Bounty Hunter, Original Fake, Fenom, and I saw a couple of Vis shoes too. It's located right across from this bomb ass restaurant called Yumas (one of the few places that sell Mexican-ish food in Taiwan lol). To get to the area you have to take Exit 3 from the MRT station, I think? All I know is that it's the exit across the street from where you usually pop up w/ California Fitness on top. To make things easier here is the address for Yuma's: Alley 11, Lane 216, ZhongXiao E Rd, Section 4.

Lastly, you should check out the stores in Ximen namely XSPC (sells Supreme, CLOT, Original Fake, BAPE, and Vis) and Tokyo (sells almost the same thing as XSPC) found in Shinjuku plaza. There's also a place in there that sells Comme De Garcons but I don't know what it's called. Oh and good luck finding Support somewhere in Ximen while you're there too lol.

I actually found CLS and it kicks the asses of all the other stores I visited. It's a breath of fresh air compared to all the other shops I've been to. All the other shops (UnderxPeace, Summit, etc.) seem to be reseller shops and not official retailers.

Hey guys,

It's gonna be my first time in Taiwan this coming Thursday! Got a few questions tho..

I'm planning to visit most if not all of the shops in Zhongxiao as mentioned in the first post. Any estimate how long would that take?

I'm thinking of checking out the stores around Phantaci before heading down to the Bape area.

Also, which are the shops that carry Fenoms? I'm keen on LVCs too and i'm hoping the Levis boutiques there carry the line.

Plus any recommendations for a lunch area round Zhongxiao?

Cheers ppl blushing

not been on here for like forever but back in taiwan at the min so thought i'd see whats happening - nothing by the look of it, ha ha.

Noticed there is a new chain of 'street' stores here called 'million boys club' which made me chuckle, probably doesn't sound so gay in Chinese.

CLS has improved no end since i left taiwan. Lot of nice stuff today. Added soph, nbhd, wtaps, nexusVii to its already pretty impressive list of brands. Although didn't see any vizvim? They still carry it?

i went from bape/cls to phantaci today and it took me 10-20 minutes or so - i was a bit early and most of the stores i wanted weren't open so i didn't really stop. If you were wandering looking in shops etc i would say 1/2 a day is easily enough. Don't go to Da-an too early most shops don't pen before 2 and on weekdays it seems they randomly don't open at all.

If you come out of phantaci turn right and immediately right again -so coming down the hill- you are basically heading into the Da-an district (the area brizzle refers to as zhongxiao district - JX runs the length of taipei, its not a district! [/rant]). So leftfoot/faith/undercover/hotdog/nikeid/etc/etc/etc are in and around the cluster of small streets.

If you keep walking straight down the hill the first major intersection you come to is dun hua nan lu. Its probably 5 or 6 small blocks down.

When you hit dun hua just turn left and go straight for about 3-4 blocks and you'll hit the ren ai lu intersection (can't miss it, the only roundabout in taipei and its got grass n trees growing in the middle). CLS is on your left (next to swansens) and BWS is on the right over the road.

@whoever asked where to eat in zhong xiao: there are like a million places you can get anything you want but if you want to try something taiwanese go for Soup dumpling ('Xiao Long Bao'). The most famous place is 'Din Tai Fung' There is one on Jhong Ziao and one in Xinyi http://www.dintaifung.com.tw/en/index.asp
on a Sunday morning its mega busy and quite a lot of Taiwan’s celebs eat there. Its still really cheap to eat there though. Food wise its definitely should be on the shortlist of Taiwanese food to try. Wash it down with a bubble tea afterwards ('zha zhi nei chi'), pretty famous local drink (looks a bit like frog spawn in iced tea but its really nice) you'll see the stalls everywhere, run by the girls not hot enough to sell beetle nut imao ;)

google map for the new nikeid store in da-an (they were fitting the interior when i went by, looking nice): http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=%2336,+Lane+187,+Sec.1,+Dunhua+S.Rd.,+taipei&sll=25.04136,121.550803&sspn=0.009701,0.022745&ie=UTF8&ll=25.042604,121.551039&spn=0.009701,0.022745&z=16&iwloc=A

Theres another map that is pretty useful on the kenlu forum:

dug these maps out for a mate so thought i might as well share here, some are old but still useful but some stuff could have changed (esp. the bape store on the summit map is the old store location):

This is a really good toy store, not far from the main Da-ann shops:
Address : 台北市大安路一段51巷46號1樓

some other stores/adresses/etc as i'm feeling generous! With chinese text where possible.

ALLENBLUE (NIKESB) 台北市中正區汀州路三段305號 02-2369-9239

PHANTACI 台北市忠孝東路四段223巷63號 02-8773-1426

Might be back in Taipei in July.

wwassss goooooood
Jun 26, 2009 @ 04:00
XLarge is gone now. I tried looking for it, thought I missed it. Hit up the website, they're done for the shop here.

any of you gonna hit up the Taipei Toy Festival on the 9th-12th (of july)?

Not sure if many of you guys collect, but seems like it'd be interesting.
Jul 15, 2009 @ 05:46
Can anyone confirm XLarge shop in the Dunhua area is gone now? I was just there maybe a month ago and they were still there. And are you talking about this website: www.xlarge.com.tw ?

Because that website hasn't been showing Xlarge stuff for a while already...

Edit: Yeah the X-Large shop is gone now... the actual store is still there, but it is only Paul Frank stuff now. Whereas it used to be Paul Frank & X-Large stuff.

Selling (if my sig still lists it, it's still available!): N&F Japan Heritage 32, N&F x Big John 31 and 32

Jul 25, 2009 @ 20:45
There was a notice recently on there saying they're gone.

But yep. The shop itself, gone. I live in the area so I've checked a few times, just in case I was going to the wrong place.

Returned from Taipei awhile back... Their retail staff's certainly very friendly and helpful!

Really liking Alien Evolution Studio (AES), recommend everyone to pay that shop a visit blushing

zcy: What streetwear brands are u looking out for? I'll say visit Complete Studio, pretty neat shop.
Nov 12, 2009 @ 09:14
hmmm , probably affordable jap/hk brands. Definitely gonna get some tees there. The resellers here in Singapore are just way too high, You could pay like 140-180 for an OriginalFake tee where you can get one for 100 at Invincible taiwan
Dec 22, 2009 @ 09:01
Fashion accesories
Yo! in Taipei for a week, know anywhere that I can get Jam home Made bracelets and necklaces? I already picked up a floral bracelet from chrome hearts, but still looking for more blushing love it here so far.

thanks in advance!

Just got back from taiwan , great place wonderful people!

This thread is pretty dead , so i shall do a recent update!

To sum most things up :
The map you see from brizzle's post is behind the main shopping district. The shops we want to go to are located in alleys

1. Theres a shop on the left of UNDERCOVER which specialises in Porter Tokyo and Head-Porter.
2. X-Large has closed
3. Leftfoot is now JUICE TAIPEI(will be closing in feb 2010)
4. Porter International is beside Graniph
5. On the right of UNDERCOVER, on the left on invincible, has a store which sells PLENTY of Manhattan Portage bags.

Guides to find street shops : when you get off the subway take the exit on the right. When you come out , head straight across the traffic junction(do not turn). You should be able to see a KFC sign (if im not wrong) , head towards it. When you meet the second traffic junction , you should be able to see the store named BEETLE. Beside beetle lays SHINJUKU PLAZA.

1.In this plaza , there are lots of resellers which carry virtually anything rare. VERY GOOD place to buy FENOMS with sizes 32-24 at affordable rates. would be able to find deadstock shoes eg. visvims , Nike, Adidas, ObyO kazuki , collaboration shoes etc... Lots of updated tees and deadstock tees from clot , of , supreme , bape , fenom , nbhd , kikstyo. I saw a shop which carries the new CLOT gold jeans(not the one with the stitchings). The tees are sadly a bit pricey. A good store would be Ghetto , not very sure if you guys consider their stuff affordable

2. Theres a shop which carries CDG tees and shirts and shoes at original prices. A very very white lighted store on level 3 or 2

3. A few local streetwear brands such as remix . (theres an overkill store i think)

Heading out of this plaza , turn left and cross a few streets and you would be near APERY very complicated place to find). head to their website and use their map! APERY has very dope stuff and very nice staff!

UNITY will lay beside APERY , 2 stores down the alley.

Along the way to APERY , you should be able to see DESTROYLAND and STAGE , they are side by side.

Guess this is it folks , eager to visit taipei again in 2010!

Sup Taiwan Hypebeast,

Anyone in Taipei know if the D-Mop stores still sell Evisu jeans? and which models are left?
Last time, i checked, they stopped selling Evisu. This is reference to the one by Chong Xiao Dong Hwa.

Anyone also know how much and where i can get visvim jeans as well?
Jan 21, 2010 @ 00:49
if memory doesnt fail me , theres a few dmop stores in zhong xiao dunhua. Yes the one around the corner still stocks evisu jeans. around 200-350 usd per pair.
Jan 22, 2010 @ 09:47
thanks buddy. ill check it out tomorrow.

For anyone interested, Invincible just stocked up on the new season for OF.
Jan 27, 2010 @ 00:23
I'll be in Taipei on the 14th. smokeyface
Feb 10, 2010 @ 08:01
check the juice store before it closes! or has it already?
Feb 11, 2010 @ 03:49
the juice store i think is supposed to be open till the 14th, but it was closed when i went by today. Hopefully left foot will reopen after lunar new year.

A Bape Pirate store has just opened, very recently -today i guess- seemed like they were still putting stock out. OK i guess - fair amount of stock, seemed more expensive than the BWS but i was double parked and in a rush so only had a quick look, only found it by accident/luck. Its on Ren Ai Lu not far from BWS.

Levis have opened a "concept shop" its on Jhong Xiao kind of diagonaly-right across from california gym - around the DaAn area (a minute or so from ADi Originals store/hot dog/etc. it didnn't seem to be any different to the regular levis store a couple of doors down.

CLS is carrying the nike FCRB line. Adi Originals store had plenty of starwars kicks. Too hot for shopping today couldn't be arsed tbh.

The Cai Guo Qiang retrospective at TFAM was excellent though, highly recommended. Picked up a print and photo so happy with that.
Feb 11, 2010 @ 06:41
Hey hongkongsandy,
did you happen to know if CLS carries the new visvim abarth moc denim-folk?
Feb 13, 2010 @ 20:00

Mar 15, 2010 @ 11:51
This is pretty embarrassing...

I'm born and raised in Taiwan but not in Taipei, Taichung or any of the "action spots."

Can anyone give me a rundown of some fun places to check out? Preferably down south as I've explored quite a bit of Taipei in the last year or two.
Mar 24, 2010 @ 16:12
i'm back. not in taipei right now, but got some big things planned...

updated the first page.

michaelte101: any of the reseller stores will have those items you're looking for. cls is near bape.

VitaTimH: not too sure about the south. haven't been to kaohsiung much. do they still have that 'dreams' club?
Mar 24, 2010 @ 16:55
