Reebok DMX Trail Shadow

Release Date

November 22, 2019 (US)

180 EUR

Reebok‘s DMX Trail Shadow combines retro running shoe sensibilities with hike-ready tech/construction, and now it’s surfaced in an eclectic new grey/blue/orange colorway. Following in the footsteps of Cottweiler‘s recent collaborative iteration and arriving shortly after Pyer Moss‘s hybrid Experiment 4 Trail Fury — a re-worked take on the classic Instapump Fury — the design continues the British-born footwear brand’s run of highly technical lifestyle designs.

A simple steel grey mesh serves as the base, but it’s quickly overlaid by a cacophony of colorful accents. The quarter and heel feature a blue and black print that’s almost pinstriped in nature, providing a bold contrast with the red accents on the eyestays/toebox. Hits of yellow appear on the midfoot’s Vector logo and rubberized tongue badge, and the entirety of the upper is seemingly contained in the abstract-shaped black plastic midfoot cage.

On the lower half, the two-piece midsole assists with tone and texture alike. The forefoot features a stacked red, grey and yellow design, while the heel uses a wavy black shank and DMX cushioning to provide comfort. The outsole is split between a hot red on the front and cool black on the back, completing the look.

The Reebok DMX Trail Shadow will release on November 22 at retailers like BSTN with an MSRP of €180 EUR (approximately $199 USD).
