Since opening its doors in 2009, MIN-NANO has become one of Tokyo’s most influential skate-friendly streetwear shops, and now it’s teamed up with Vans for a light-hearted take on the 67. With a voluminous midsole inspired by ’90s skateboarding shoes and a playfully-colored palette, the design is a happy homage to a decade-plus in business.

Uppers are constructed of canvas and meld bright yellow quarter panels with a white and blue checkerboard tongue and toebox. A vulcanized toe cap offers extra durability, and the wearer can also swap between yellow and blue laces depending on their preferred contrast. Inside, the cushioned sockliner ensures ample comfort for boarding or strolling, while the white midsole equips a classic red rubber badge on its heel and a gum outsole completes the look.

Accompanying the shoe itself is a full set of collaborative apparel, consisting of a hoodie, long and short-sleeve tees, a beanie and a bandanna. Each piece uses the same yellow, white and blue color palette and features light-hearted graphics ranging from skateboards to repeating text logos.

By carrying brands like WTAPS and Oliver Peoples plus being adjacent to Tokyo culture stalwarts such as Digawel and 1LDK, MIN-NANO has established itself as a hub for Japanese youth. The collaborative Vans goods are poised to bolster that influence with a release via BILLY’s Tokyo on January 24 for ¥11,00 JPY (approximately $100 USD). Apparel ranges from ¥1,800 JPY (approximately $15 USD) for the bandanna to ¥10,000 JPY (approximately $90 USD) for the hoodie.
