Dior’s elegant
Spring/Summer 2020 showcase was layered with buzzy collaborations, not the least of which being the matchup with
Daniel Arsham. Not only did the brand’s runway setup include custom sculptural works from the distinctive contemporary artist, but the French house gleaned inspiration from Arsham throughout its SS20 collection, dreaming up a standout a pair of tie-dye sneakers among the special pieces.
Drenched in pink and blue tie-dye along the upper, the sneakers feature an ombre design that recall a galaxy full of vibrant colors. The style is crafted of calfskin and technical mesh, aligning with Dior’s elevated sensibility and bringing in a subtle element of sportiness. Other key details like the laces and midsole are kept clean in stark white, reflecting the label’s overall clean and subdued color palette for SS20 and contrasting against the saturated paneling. Dior logos on the tongue, midsole, heel and insole round it all out with a signature touch of branding.
The CD1 Sneakers With Tie-Dye Print are priced at €990 EUR (approximately $1,150 USD) and available to shop now at
Dior’s website and
