After unveiling its collaboration with Supreme, Clarks Originals has returned with two animal print Wallabee boots.

Initially debuted in 1967, the Wallabee was inspired by an old German moccasin called the “Grasshopper.” Adopted by certain subcultures in North America, like the Jamaican “Rude Boys” in New York, it found success across the pond before coming back full circle to the label’s native England. Its distinctive square-toed-chukka build allowed people to dress down or dress up the piece, alternating between casual streetwear and bespoke suiting. Today, much of the silhouette has been kept intact, though design updates like its mixed sole have replaced older materials for better comfort.

This particular set of Wallabees comes with the updated mixed sole, and it’s emblazoned with wild prints that can be dressed in a multitude of ways. Coming in a dark and light colorway, the boots see a lush pony-hair finish that covers all of the shoes except the sole. The darker pair comes with black laces; the lighter one, orange. The collars have been smoothened with rounded trim, followed by reinforced stitching that loops around the toe cap. Each pair comes with tonal top-stitching and a leather tag that hangs from the laces. All of these details sit atop a cream-colored shock absorbent midsole that nods to the history of the silhouette.

The Clarks Originals Wallabee Boots are currently available at for $240 USD.
