NEON hat den offiziellen Trailer zum neuen Film des Oldboy-Regisseurs Park Chan-wook, NO OTHER CHOICE.

Die satirische, schwarzhumorige Thrillerkomödie basiert auf dem Roman von Donald E. Westlake THE AX und wartet mit Lee Byung-hun (Mr. Sunshine, Squid Game) in der Hauptrolle als You Man-su, einem Experten der Papierindustrie mit 25 Jahren Berufserfahrung. Ein Familienmensch, der glücklich mit seiner Frau Mi-ri (Son Ye-jin), zwei Kindern und zwei Hunden lebt, erleidet den Schock seines Lebens, als er plötzlich von seinem langjährigen Arbeitgeber entlassen wird.

Er nimmt sich vor, innerhalb der nächsten drei Monate wieder eine feste Anstellung zu finden, um seine Familie zu versorgen, landet jedoch für über ein Jahr in einem Sackgassenjob, während er parallel weitere Vorstellungsgespräche absolviert. Aus Verzweiflung sucht er die konkurrierende Papierfirma Moon Paper auf, wo der Vorarbeiter ihn demütigt. Man-su ist überzeugt, dass er der Einzige für den Job ist – also schaltet er die Konkurrenz aus.

Der Film lief im Wettbewerb um den Goldenen Löwen bei den 82. Internationalen Filmfestspielen von Venedig und feierte seine Premiere beim Toronto International Film Festival 2025. Außerdem eröffnete er Anfang September das 30. Busan International Film Festival und wird als Teil der ‘Main Slate’ beim New York Film Festival 2025 zu sehen sein.

To celebrate Kobe’s 81 point game on January 22nd, Nike has created 81 limited t-shirts in honor of his great performance. Each shirt is entered into a random drawing to win 1 of 4 Nike Lasered Zoom Kobe 1 NYC. There other four pairs will be available through a silent auction from January 30th to February 7th, 2006. First there was just the Nike Dunk. Then Dunk Pro, SB, NL and now it looks like Nike Dunk ACG (All Conditions Gear) is the next thing. I’ll save my judgement until I see them in the flesh.
