Red Wing Shoes is an American heritage footwear brand based in Red Wing, Minnesota; founded in 1905 by shoe merchant Charles Beckman and 14 investors. Red Wing Shoes supplied sturdy leather work boots for the local workforce engaged in the mining, logging and farming industries of the area, before starting its fashion-oriented line.
