The art of Genesis Belanger can take many forms. Toothbrushes, tape holders, prosthetic teeth, anthropomorphized lamps. Partially inspired by her time in the advertising industry, the Brooklyn-based artist creates charming, yet bizarre sculptural creations that probe into themes related to gender, power and identity.

For her latest collaboration, Belanger worked with Case Studyo to release a bronze sculpture entitled THE SHIRT OFF HER BACK. The artwork features a bust of a woman wearing a bra that also serves as a hybrid vase. As an edition of eight, the bronze sculpture is finished in two iterations — soft mint and a shell color — which is painted using automotive matt lacquer. The sculptures size at 12.68 x 11.02 x 12.68-inches and come signed and numbered in a custom screen-printed box.
