Following an initial preview, the OTW by Vans x Parra Old Skool 36 has officially received its release date. Reuniting with long-time collaborator and former sponsored skater Piet Parra, Vans offers a sophisticated reimagining of the classic silhouette. This collaboration bridges the artist’s raw skate heritage with the polished, surrealist aesthetic that defines his signature style.
The design is characterized by premium suede construction and Parra’s unmistakable wavy colorblocking. In a playful nod to his creative roots, the pair features asymmetric details and custom tongue typography, while the footbeds carry a cheeky directive: “Don’t forget to skate in these.” Engineered for performance, the shoe includes Sola Foam ADC insoles for enhanced comfort, a traditional vulcanized sole and matte foxing. By blending high-art sensibilities with functional specifications, this release elevates the Old Skool into a collector’s piece that remains true to its origins.
