New Balance Preps Its Popular 550 Model With Minty Accents
A seasonally-friendly palette for the hoops-turned-lifestyle shoe.
It goes without question that the lifestyle category of New Balance is currently flourishing the most. The brand has several silhouettes that are running up the sales numbers on a monthly bases, one of which is the 550. A barrage of new colorways are expected to drop off to the market in the coming months, and the latest to be unveiled is this new white and mint green installment.
New Balance has found plenty of success with this model by releasing it in a plethora of two-toned palettes, and this variation certainly follows that trendy design cadence. A pure white hue covers a majority of the ground here such as it floods the perforated mid-foot paneling, submerges the toe box and swathes the rear overlays. From there, the Summer-appropriate minty accents take over. New Balance branding on the tongues and heels, 550 hits on the forefoot, N logos, rear mudguards and middle of the bottoms are are treated with the seasonal hue to complete its look.
According to early reports, these are marked for a release on July 15. The retail price is set at $110 USD.
