For consumer brands, the concept of producing sustainable products is being amplified more than ever, and one of the imprints that has made it a point to participate is Nike. Perhaps its most obvious initiative that speaks to this is its earth-friendly Space Hippie line, and one of its models in the Space Hippie 04 has further extended its range with a fresh new “Light Bone” colorway.

Its base layers — which are constructed fro 75% recycled plastic bottles, tees and yarn scraps — are primarily executed with a “Light Bone” hue, which in turn allow the minimal accents to stand out. The miniature Swooshes that sit on the medial forefoot along with the “04” tongue branding are splashed with a vibrant orange, while the embroidered side Swooshes and Nike heel lettering slightly contrast with an “Olive Grey” hue. Inside the shoes, the liners are decorated with a volt green backdrop and feature the Swoosh’s retro pinwheel logo. Midsoles are primarily white, but feature trash scraps that have a give off a natural multi-colored aesthetic.

Thinking of picking up a pair? You can find these available via Nike Japan right now for ¥15,400 (approx. $140 USD).
