Nipsey Hussle's "Blue Laces III" to Feature Rick Ross and Trae Tha Truth
Producer Mr. Lee says the third installment in Nipsey’s “Blue Laces” track series is completed and coming soon.
The third track to the late Nipsey Hussle‘s “Blue Laces” series is officially confirmed to be completed and on its way soon. According to producer Mr. Lee, who also produced the 2010 track “Blue Laces” and the 2018 follow-up song “Blue Laces 2,” fans will hear Rick Ross and Trae Tha Truth featured on the track. It was revealed back in December 2020 that the third track was making its way down the pipeline.
Mr. Lee recently took to Instagram to announce that the track was finished with the caption, “The masterpiece is complete. This last conversation that me and my nephew had was about this song. I can’t wait for y’all to hear this. Much love to my lil bro @traebn I couldn’t have completed it without you. Miss you @nipseyhussle love always nephew!”
In an interview with The Ritz Herald, Mr. Lee revealed that Nipsey recorded “Blue Laces III” before he was shot and killed in Los Angeles in 2019. Mr. Lee has worked on tracks with some of the most iconic rappers in the game including, Scarface, 2Pac, Paul Wall, Pimp C and more. He explained how completing the “Blue Laces” series has been therapeutic for him since the untimely death of Nipsey.
Mr. Lee is currently working on a full Nipsey Hussle album and that it is set to feature never-before-heard of verses from the rapper and appearances from Dave East and Trae Tha Truth.
