Palladium and Finisterre Drop Latest Capsule of Recycled Footwear
Crafted using plastic bottles and rubber waste.
Palladium has reunited with U.K.-based label Finisterre for a second installment of recycled and waterproof footwear, following the success of its debut Fall/Winter 2020 release.
In the transitional season that spring is, the pair returns for 2021 with a collection that reflects each brand’s ecological commitments to cutting consumer pollution, recycling materials, and taking action against global warming.
The PALLAFIN PAMPA OXFORD — a low ankle iteration of the brand’s Pampa Hi — boasts the same pattern and fabrications as before and sits atop Palladium’s Lite Tech technology sole. Despite its lightweight design, this fully-recycled style incorporates a waterproof membrane and a sole unit designed for enhanced grip.
The upper has been crafted using recycled plastic bottles and the rubber sole unit is built from recycled rubber waste, while the branded plastic lace tips are biodegradable too.
Each colourway also features houses neon orange detailing as a nod to marine and hiking gear, while the PALLAFIN PAMPA OXFORD comes in earthy “Dune” and black shades and the PAMPA HI RECYCLED WP+ in a luxe “Monument/Dark Shadow”.
Both the PALLAFIN PAMPA OXFORD and PAMPA HI RECYCLED WP+ are set to drop on May 4 and will be available to buy now from the Palladium webstore.
In other news, Fred Perry and G.H. Bass have dished up another loafer capsule.
