After emerging in a black and green suede iteration, New Balance‘s ever-popular reissue of the 2002R is returning in a trio of covetable colorways. The chunky dad sneaker is now launching in three tonal makeups: “Triple Black,” “Triple White,” and an all-over olive shade, ideal for conceptualizing some splashy spring ‘fits.

Each new version of the 2002R silhouette sports a upper finished in the same tone as its laces, sockliner, tongue and sole, holding true to the monotone monikers of each colorway. Grain leather is utilized for the white and black models, but the olive pair, which is the only one to feature a slightly-constrasting sole, boasts textural suede. As usual, each shoe sports exposed ABZORB cushioning at the rear, grippy rubber outsoles and the “2002R” branding near the heel.

Though “Triple Black” iterations of New Balance’s sneakers are generally somewhat uncommon, the Boston-based brand did recently introduce an all-black mid-top shoe as part of its latest Snow Peak collaboration. Still, the all-black approach is an unusual one for New Balance, which often interrupts its darker-toned kicks with pops of color and contrasting branding.

All three new 2002R colorways hit New Balance’s website on February 20 for approximately $140 USD.

New Balance has even more new iterations of its throwback silhouettes in store, recently trotting out “Carbon/Team Red/White” 990v5.
