On-Foot Look at the Air Jordan 1 "Light Fusion Red"
A warm, lively take on the ever-popular Air Jordan silhouette.
Undoubtedly the workhorse of Jordan Brand‘s modern-day Air Jordan lineup, the Air Jordan 1 has surfaced in yet another new colorway: “Light Fusion Red.” A warm, lively take on Michael Jordan‘s ever-popular first signature sneaker, the “Light Fusion Red” began popping up on various sneaker leaker Instagram pages in recent weeks, and now we’ve been given an on-foot look thanks to YankeeKicks.
With an upper constructed of premium tumbled leather, the “Light Fusion Red” ensures that its quality stacks up to its look — and the look is certainly a bright one. The shoe’s main reddish-pink hue appears on heels, eyestays, mudguards and collar flaps alike and is accented by “Laser Orange” Swooshes and collars. Everything is brought together by white leather quarters and toeboxes, completing a simple-yet-effective three-tone colorblocking scheme that can be traced all the way back to the Air Jordan 1 “Chicago.”
Further branding is provided by black ball-and-wings logos on the collar flaps and an ombre-style red and yellow fade on the white nylon tongue’s Nike Air badge. White laces tie the top half together, while down below the look is finalized by a classic combination of white midsoles and black outsoles.
The Air Jordan 1 “Light Fusion Red” has been reported for a June 21 release, though this has yet to be officially confirmed by the Jumpman. The MSRP is set at $170 USD.
