Salehe Bembury’s rework of New Balance’s 2002R sneaker was one of the most popular collaborations of last year, and after another co-release with the former Versace footwear designer was teased earlier this month, New Balance now offers up its latest inline take on the classic silhouette.

Originally released in 2002 as New Balance’s most innovative running sneaker, this updated 2002R boasts the same brand technologies as the original — like the ABZORB cushioning and N-ERGY in the midsole — resulting in an almost identical aesthetic.

Housing premium pig suede uppers, a pastel blue iteration sits on a crisp white midsole, while an all gray take is placed atop a matching gray midsole.

A release date for this latest 2002R hasn’t yet been announced, but we’re expecting them to drop in the coming months on the New Balance webstore.

In other sneaker news, Hanon and Diadora continue transit-inspired series with the N.9000 “Alternative Route”.
