Revamped outerwear ready for autumn chill.
Originally seen at its Fall 2020 runway show, sacai has apparently tweaked its collaborative NikeLab outerwear over the past year but it’s finally ready to see the light of day. Three styles of layering piece will be on hand to make up for a lack of new collaborative sneaker styles.
According to Nike, women’s and men’s iterations of the NRG puffer jacket will be on hand, along with a revamped hoodie. The puffer jackets feature retro Nike branding at the chest and black, grey and brown color palettes, accented by mismatched panels that coincide with sacai’s deconstructionist ethos.
Two iterations feature wool blazer-style flap pocket panels and cuff-like sleeves, while the brown jacket appears to sprout fur for maximum warmth. However, it’s likely that the styles debuting at NikeLab later this month will be somewhat distinct from these iterations seen back in January 2019. The hoodie hasn’t been revealed but it wouldn’t be unusual for it to feature inset panels like sacai’s previous Nike partnerships.

Japanese customers can enter a lottery to purchase a sacai piece from Tokyo’s NikeLab store via Nike’s website. The items will arrive at Nike’s website and sacai’s web store October 20.
sacai most recently partnered with Ten C for wholly different styles of technical outerwear.
