Official Look at the Nike SB Dunk High "Invert Celtics"

A tale of two colorways.

Nike SB has revealed official images of its new SB Dunk High “Invert Celtics.” Debuted in Japan earlier this month and set for a global release in October, the “Invert Celtics” is a central piece of the Nike skate subdivision’s “Invert Pack” and features a wild build that stitches two entirely different sneakers together.

Much as the Boston Celtics are on the cusp of being overwhelmed by the Miami Heat in the NBA‘s Eastern Conference Finals, this high-cut SB Dunk‘s white/green leather medial quarter and collar cedes the rest of the upper to a mixture of shaggy pink and black suedes — the former covers mudguards, eyestays, Swooshes, heel overlays/tabs and collar flaps, while the latter graces the lateral half of the collar and quarter plus the toeboxes. Black and pink are also brought together on the fabric tongue tag.

Down below, black midsoles and pink outsoles round off the wild look. Although the strange mixture of palettes may seem to make no sense from a design standpoint upon first glance, it’s in fact entirely true to its moniker: if you invert the colors of the shoe on your phone or digital camera, it’ll present an exact opposite look, as seen below.

As mentioned above, expect the Nike SB Dunk High “Invert Celtics” to begin arriving at skateshops globally this October. The retail price is set at $120 USD.
