Nike Sportswear‘s Killshot may have started as a tennis sneaker in the ’80s, but in the years since it’s become a low-key lifestyle favorite. Now, this under-the-radar reign is set to be continued by a new “Beetroot” colorway. Dressed in rich, autumnal hues and featuring vintage materials, the “Beetroot” sheds the fratty reputation associated with its successor — the Killshot 2, a shoe that was long exclusive to J. Crew — for a street-ready look that follows up the May release of three OG colorways.

Two shades of red take up prominence on the upper: the eponymous “Beetroot” hue graces the mesh base with “Villain Red” appearing on the suede mudguard, eyestays and heel piece. White leather Swooshes and white heel pieces stamped with black Nike spellout branding add a little light contrast. Exposed foam tongues take on an old-school eggshell hue, rounding off the branded accents with one final tag. Down below, trim white rubber midsoles complete the look.

The Nike Killshot “Beetroot” is set to release via Nike SNKRS on September 29. The MSRP is set at a palatable $90 USD.

In the market for more vintage-tinged kicks? Union’s Air Jordan 4 “Off Noir” is set to release on Nike SNKRS in the coming weeks as well.
