Not even a leak of their entire project could stop the City Girls. Fans have been begging for an official follow-up to Girl Code and the duo’s guest appearances on Quality Control: Control The Streets Volume 2 for quite some time, and their demands were answered. Yung Miami and JT shrugged off the leak and decided to roll with the punches, officially releasing their sophomore effort City on Lock days later to near-universal applause.

Now Quality Control Music has premiered the first episode of a five-part docuseries on Yung Miami and JT’s journey to release their latest record. Dubbed City Girls: The Series, the first episode revolves around Yung Miami’s secret pregnancy and her tight-knit familial relationship with Quality Control Music, label CEO Pierre “P” Thomas and founder Coach K. The intimate exchange of the emcee breaking the news to her label was filmed while Yung Miami embarked on a solo tour, holding the group down while JT served out a prison term for credit card fraud charges.

Watch the first installment of City Girls: The Series below and stay tuned for more future episodes. In more music news, 21 Savage detailed a new initiative called Bank Account at Home in an effort to expand financial literacy to high school students.
