A 'Sonic The Hedgehog' Sequel Is Now in Development

After setting the record for the biggest video game movie opening weekend ever, Sonic The Hedgehog is now set to receive a sequel.

According to reports, Paramount and Sega are already developing the movie with the first film’s director Jeff Fowler and writers Pat Casey and Josh Miller set to return. Although no casting announcements have been made, Jim Carrey, James Marsden and the voice of Sonic, Ben Schwartz are expected to reprise their roles. With Tails coming up in the post-credits scene it is expected that Sonic’s sidekick will play a major role in the sequel.
