Vibram's New 'WhyVibram' Series Features Atlantic Stars
An exclusive sole project between the two Italian brands.
For the four-part film series being released this Spring, Vibram is featuring a handful of brands, partnering up with them to release new designs that are both innovative and novel. For the second episode Vibram has teamed up with Atlantic Stars on two sneakers as well as interviewed designer Maurizio Molin about the developing project between the two brands.
Atlantic Stars originally gained a following for its footwear silhouettes and bright colors back in the ’80s. The episode shows Molin speaking about the pair’s collaborative sneakers; the Centaurus men’s model and the Libra women’s model are releasing as part of Atlantic Stars’ SS20 collection, donning the exclusive Vibram Kamel sole ideal for various types of terrain.
Speaking in the film, Maurizio comments on the partnership: “In the most recent season, we had the opportunity to collaborate with the Vibram designers and to create an exclusive sole. With this product, we managed to combine their experience and technical knowledge with the Atlantic Stars style. Vibram for Atlantic Stars is the ideal expression of contact between the foot and the ground.”
