Following a lauded VAINL ARCHIVE collaboration released last year, Reebok has tapped VA‘s Kohei Okita for another team-up.

This time around the design has crafted a special collection for the sportswear brand dubbed “Reebok eightyone.” The Spring/Summer 2020 range is named after Japan’s +81 country code and is inspired by, and born out of, Tokyo.

Ahead of the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, the collaborative range utilizes a clean color palette of black, brown and grey to highlight Okita’s material combinations and silhouette choices. According to the designer, “My goal with eightyone was to create a collection that feels different from all the products in Reebok’s large archive, both past and present.”

Leading the Reebok eightyone collection is a hooded rain jacket constructed of water-repellent woven nylon marked with a large contrasting CrossFit Delta logo at the chest accompanied by a pair of matching pants. Elsewhere in range is a similarly detailed tracksuit set, long-sleeve T-shirts and simple logo socks. Finishing things up are “Black” and “Teal-Grey” takes on the Zig Kinetica that continue the colorways found in last year’s VAINL ARCHIVE x Daytona DMX collab.

Catch the lookbook for Kohei Okita’s Reebok eightyone collection above and take a look at the first drop arriving February 28 at select Reebok locations below.

In case you missed it, Stone Island focused on bold patina with its Plated Reflective “Dust” Shorts and Parka.
