Song for the Mute Honors Sven Väth With Sophisticated 20th Anniversary Capsule

Famed German DJ Sven Väth has been involved in the electronic music anniversary since the early ’80s, but his legendary Cocoon parties really took off in 1999, after a brief reboot and thanks to dance-crazed Ibiza showgoers. In commemoration of Väth’s twenty-plus-year reign as Germany’s king of underground parties, Australian label Song for the Mute has imagined a capsule collection ideal for one of Väth’s all-night raves.
A wide array of garments cut with slouchy silhouettes appear throughout, executed in neutral tones for effortless styling and all-over photographic prints for bold statements. Trucker-style jackets, hoodies, long shirts, graphic-laden T-shirts and baggy shorts all sport text that nods to Cocoon, Väth’s party series, booking agency and record label. Lightweight fabrics and effortless drawstring closure ensure that the easygoing goods are comfortable all night long. To further underscore the party mood, Väth has concocted a special 7” record with two songs on either side, which is included with purchase of the collection’s statement pieces.
