Will Smith Taps DJ Khaled For New Take on 'Aladdin' Song "Friend Like Me"
The Fresh Prince melds his identity alongside Genie.
Fresh off the hot-heels of his latest project Father of Asahd, DJ Khaled has united with the Fresh Prince himself for a new take on the iconic Aladdin song, “Friend Like Me.”
Originally performing by the late Robin Williams, Will Smith has channeled his newfound Genie magic for an updated rendition on the classic film track, offering a bit of his Fresh prince essence to spruce up the song that was originally released in 1992. As is expected from DJ Khaled, he offers up his responsibilities as hypeman, continuing with his usual ad libs that further reinforces Smith’s verses.
