AFTERLIFE is back to celebrate Spring/Summer 2018, dropping off part 1 of its seasonal offering with a new lookbook presentation. Similar in concept to its previous fall lineup, the L.A. imprint, once again, leans on faith-based spirituality, “blessing” a sampling of staple pieces with religious figures — most noticeably the “Mother Mary” tee, bearing strong similarities to the one controversial artist Sinead O’Connor wore to the 1989 Grammy Awards.

Veering hard left from any sort of theological depiction, the brand also rips a page from the early ‘90s, integrating pop-culture film references into its design language. The collection is comprised of hoodies, T-shirts, and long-sleeve crewneck tops, on top of limited-run tote bags and its Santa Muerte Skate Deck — all of which takes on expressive imagery and/or AFTERLIFE branding in varying typography types. The full collection is now up for grabs via the brand’s online shop.

In other fashion news, the season’s best patterns came out to play for New York Fashion street style.
