Butter Goods Debuts Referential Graphics for First Drop of 2018

The skatewear label goes bold.

Butter Goods enjoys its 8th birthday this year, but that doesn’t mean that it’s taking time off — the Australian label is gearing up for summer with a new release of imagery-heavy gear. The Q1 drop offers color-blocked windbreakers and reggae-inspired prints, plenty of backwards-looking references. Ranging from large stenciled branding to a rose-bearing shirt that places emphasis on spaced-out kerning, the range takes equal cues from classic music and cartoons — Snagglepuss appears on the rear of one long-sleeved shirt — along with ’80s sportswear and ’90s technology, informing a variety of playful branding executed across neutral color tees and sweaters.

Look for the drop to hit stockists March 24 before releasing on Butter Goods’s web store on March 26. In the meantime, check out the brand’s skaters in action below and take a look at Bodega’s upcoming Spring/Summer 2018 lookbook for more graphical goods.
