Summary

  • Nike has officially launched its ambitious “X2” World Cup Collection, pairing seven national football federations with seven leading fashion designers from their respective countries
  • Shifting the focus to apparel, the collection features bespoke pre-match jerseys, tracksuits, and lifestyle clothing designed by Jacquemus, Palace, NOCTA, Patta, Slawn, PEACEMINUSONE, and the Virgil Abloh Archive
  • Going beyond aesthetics, each collaboration honors and supports a specific local youth sports charity, whose logos are featured on the back of the jerseys

Nike is officially changing the way we look at international football kits. While the brand’s X2 Cryoshot sneakers have been making heavy waves in the footwear world, the massive apparel rollout accompanying them is poised to redefine modern sports fashion. By pairing seven of the most influential contemporary designers with their home nations, Nike has delivered a sprawling collection of pre-match jerseys and lifestyle gear that perfectly captures the energy, heritage, and style of each locale. Even better, this initiative is deeply rooted in community, with each capsule directly supporting a local youth sports organization.

The European heavyweights bring a masterful blend of luxury and streetwear to the pitch. For France, Jacquemus injects a refined, Sud de France elegance into “Les Bleus,” utilizing chic tricolor stripe patterns that bring vintage craft to modern sportswear. Across the channel, London skate label Palace reimagines England’s “Three Lions” gear with a sweat-wicking top inspired by the St. George’s Cross, blending stained glass motifs with classic streetwear fits. Meanwhile, Amsterdam’s Patta delivers a fierce celebration of Dutch unity for the Netherlands, wrapping the kit in flaming orange and black, detailed with rose, chain, and States Lion motifs.

In North America, Drake’s NOCTA label takes the reins for Canada, building an essential streetwear capsule around the nation’s signature red palette, complete with bold tracksuits and tees. For the United States, the Virgil Abloh Archive (V.A.A.) channels 1994 vintage Americana. Honoring Abloh’s immense visual legacy, the U.S. kit takes the form of a heavily graphic, nostalgic rugby shirt that stands completely in a lane of its own.

Rounding out the global drops, G-DRAGON‘s PEACEMINUSONE celebrates South Korea with a bright, layered collection that fuses traditional KFA imagery with modern Korean workwear and the brand’s signature painted daisies. Finally, British-Nigerian artist Slawn translates his chaotic, raw energy into a vibrant green and white jersey for Nigeria, honoring the Super Eagles with his unmistakable hand-drawn aesthetic.

These aren’t just runway pieces; the seven pre-match jerseys will actually be worn by the national teams during their upcoming friendly matches, officially cementing their place in football history. The Nike X2 apparel collections will be available at collaborator and federation retail locations beginning June 11, 2026. A secondary release will hit Dover Street Market on June 13, followed by a wider global launch across SNKRS and select Nike partner retailers on June 16.
