TAG Heuer has officially unveiled the new TAG Heuer Formula 1 Solargraph 38mm pastel collection, expanding its racing-inspired lineage with light-harnessing technology. Blending heritage proportions with contemporary wearability, the latest assortment reinterprets iconic design codes through a soft color palette while prioritizing functional materiality.
The core innovation of the release is the Solargraph movement, powered by the Caliber TH50-00, which utilizes both natural and artificial light as a virtually limitless energy source. According to the brand, a single minute of direct sunlight exposure can power the timepiece for an entire day, while a full charge — achieved in under 40 hours — delivers up to ten months of autonomy in complete darkness. Furthermore, the watch can restart with just ten seconds of light exposure and features an accumulator with an expected lifespan of up to fifteen years.
Construction varies across the five new pastel iterations. The pastel blue, pastel pink, and beige opalin dial models feature 38mm cases crafted from TH-Polylight, offering significant lightness and tactile comfort alongside a bidirectional turning bezel. These variants are equipped with color-matched rubber straps and steel pin buckles.
For a more elevated specification, the pastel green and lavender-blue editions are housed in sandblasted steel cases paired with three-row steel bracelets. These premium variations feature eight VS diamonds set into the rhodium-plated polished shield indexes. All models maintain a 100-meter water resistance rating, flat sapphire crystals with anti-reflective treatment, and hands treated with white superluminova for daytime visibility and green luminescence for low-light conditions. Notably, the pastel pink opalin dial edition is limited to 1,110 pieces to commemorate the 110th anniversary of the Indy 500 in 2026.
