Football fever has officially arrived in brick form. Ahead of the highly anticipated 2026 FIFA World Cup, The LEGO Group has unveiled a blockbuster new collaboration alongside four pitch legends: Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappé, Lionel Messi, and Vini Jr. Marking the launch of a brand-new collectible platform titled “LEGO Editions,” the partnership brings the four legendary athletes into the world of LEGO minifigures for the very first time.

Serving as a celebration of the upcoming tournament and the magic of the game, the new lineup features seven unique building sets. The “Football Highlights” line (ages 10+) captures cinematic snapshots of each player on letter-shaped bases tied to their national team colors and jersey numbers. Ronaldo’s 490-piece set is built on an ‘R,’ Mbappé and Messi each rest on distinctive ‘M’ bases, and Vini Jr.’s vibrant Brazilian energy shines on a ‘V-shaped’ foundation. Each model includes an exclusive minifigure and hidden easter eggs for true fans to discover.

For builders looking for a larger display, the collection offers two highly detailed “Football Legend” sets. The 854-piece Cristiano Ronaldo figure allows fans to build the star in either his explosive “Siuuu” pose or performing his iconic bicycle kick. Meanwhile, the 958-piece Lionel Messi set can be built in a dynamic running pose or his signature victory pose pointing toward the sky. Both sets feature printed name plaques and brand-new football elements.

Rounding out the monumental drop is the “Lionel Messi – Celebration” set (ages 14+). Releasing later in the summer, the 1,427-element model is a striking piece of 3D wall art highlighting Messi’s iconic striped jersey and signature victory pose. Beyond the physical products, the LEGO Group has also promised exciting pop-up fan zone experiences worldwide, inviting communities to interact with the brand through activities like a giant digital “LEGO Brick Kickers” game.

The initial six LEGO Editions building sets are currently available for pre-order and will officially launch on May 1, 2026. The 3D “Lionel Messi – Celebration” set will follow on June 1, 2026.
