Mizuno is expanding its seasonal footwear roster with the introduction of the WAVE PROPHECY STRAP 2. Set to debut for the Spring/Summer 2026 season alongside the original model, the new silhouette builds upon its predecessor to deliver a refined and highly functional summer sneaker experience.
Designed with an ethos to wrap the foot and let the wind through, the updated model translates the fit theory of track-and-field sprint spikes for everyday urban wear. The shoe’s defining feature is its single-action strap system, which allows wearers to pull the strap for a seamless, locked-in fit. For version two, the brand integrated an upper structure based on the latest sprint spikes, ensuring durability and secure hold while maintaining a lightweight and highly breathable construction.
The silhouette is set to launch in three distinct color palettes. A vibrant “Lime Green/Green/Brown” iteration leads the pack, followed by two more versatile options including a “Dark Gray” resembling inorganic architectural materials and a clean, tense “Off-White.” While the tonal gray and white colorways blend seamlessly into everyday styling, the distinct tooling of the Wave Prophecy sole unit continues to make a bold structural statement.
