Kody Phillips Launches Custom Capsule With Intuit TurboTax for NYFW
The campaign spotlights how entrepreneurs harness their creative prowess through financial literacy.
Spotlighting how modern entrepreneurs balance creative innovation with financial education, Intuit TurboTax has partnered with Brooklyn-based designer Kody Phillips to create a limited-edition fashion capsule. The campaign will culminate in a collection reveal at SoHo TurboTax, featuring custom display installs exploring how financial literacy empowers creatives to accelerate their growth and establish long-term stability in a rapidly evolving industry.
Hailing from Cincinnati, Ohio, Kody Phillips is a self-taught designer who gained traction for his unconventional screen print designs and snapback hats. His eponymous fashion label, celebrated for a subversive take on utilitarian luxury, serves up tailored garments such as the Lasso Shirt and balloon-inflated denim, oftentimes drawing influences from military aesthetics to elements of Americana. The self-described “Pantaloons Champion” is privy to bold, fearless cut-and-sew garments with statement-making hardware. Since his days of screen printing and operating a direct-to-consumer business from his Brooklyn apartment, Phillips has since scaled a full-fledged fashion line that’s making waves in the luxury realm.
Phillips has partnered with TurboTax to create a limited-edition fashion capsule and will also appear in an upcoming workshop event in SoHo that highlights how financial logic strengthens creative output in the very space that reimagines tax filing and brings financial prosperity to the community through in-person, expert support. This content series will highlight the financial lessons that allows small business owners to challenge the status quo and encourage the next generation of creatives to forge their own paths in fashion.
