Last season, African-born designer Foday Dumbuya presented his “Osmosis” collection at London Fashion Week, spotlighting traditions that transcend borders, generations, and identities. For Fall/Winter 2026, LABRUM returns to deepen that dialogue, shifting the focus to textiles as living documents — materials that record movement, migration, and memory.

Viewing fabric as a vessel for storytelling, Dumbuya manipulates silhouette and surface to reflect how different cultures interpret and rework similar textiles. The opening look reimagined traditional military uniform codes with a contemporary edge, setting the tone for a collection rooted in heritage. Early in the lineup, intricate pieces crafted in collaboration with Indian artisans underscored the brand’s commitment to cross-cultural exchange and meticulous craftsmanship.

Head-to-toe camel linen ensembles flowed down the runway, styled with LABRUM’s forthcoming “https://hypebeast.com/tags/adidas” rel=”noopener” target=”_blank”>adidas collaboration. Sweat-resistant athleticwear in muted beige and green offered a functional counterpoint, merging performance with narrative. Classic UK puffers were layered over adidas x LABRUM signatures and paired with passport-stamped trousers — a literal and symbolic nod to travel, identity, and the bureaucratic marks that trace global movement.

Elsewhere, Canadian tuxedos were punctured at the shoulders, plaid suiting felt both traditional and subversive, and shell-encrusted face coverings introduced a tactile, ceremonial feel. Metallic numbers flashed under the runway lights, reinforcing LABRUM’s central thesis: textiles are more than garments — they are records of exchange, resilience, and shared history.
