Dover Street Market Los Angeles and The Andy Warhol Foundation are officially teaming up to present the “Andy WarhoLA” exhibition. Arriving in time for Frieze Los Angeles, the event celebrates the iconic artist’s deep fascination with the multifaceted spirit of the city. The highly anticipated showcase reframes the sprawling metropolis through Warhol’s unique lens, serving as a mesmerizing visual chronicle of the cultural system he intuitively mapped.

Curated by Michael Dayton Hermann, the immersive exhibition pairs original vintage photographs by Warhol that document the everyday moments, iconic architecture, and sun-bleached boulevards that shaped the mythology of Los Angeles. Visually anchored by a sculptural homage to the legendary Brillo Box, the installation seamlessly collapses celebrity, commerce, and place into a single environment filled with objects of desire. Over 100 projected landscape photographs, many of which remain previously unpublished, invite visitors to explore the city exactly as the artist saw it.

Drawing directly from The Andy Warhol Foundation’s archives, the event also provides intimate access to the creative’s personal collection of books, t-shirts, and photographs. Proceeds generated from the sale of these works will generously support the Foundation’s ongoing endowment, which actively distributes approximately $18 million USD in annual cash grants to advance experimental and under-recognized contemporary visual arts.

The Andy WarhoLA exhibition runs from February 26 through March 12 at Dover Street Market Los Angeles.
