Seiko has unveiled a refined addition to its Presage Classic Series with the introduction of a new tonneau-shaped dress watch featuring a handcrafted enamel dial. As the only barrel-shaped model in the current Presage lineup, this timepiece, reference SPB537, features a pristine white enamel dial created by master artisans Mitsuru Yokosawa and Kazunori Uchiyama. The dial’s glossy brilliance is paired with Roman numerals and a 24‑hour subdial at six o’clock, both inspired by Seiko’s first pocket watch, the 1895 Timekeeper.
Railway‑track minute markers and blued hands – bent slightly at the tips for improved legibility – add classical charm and precision. This is complete with a dual‑curved sapphire crystal that enhances readability, while complementing the barrel‑shaped stainless steel case, and the five‑row bracelet with polished accents ensures comfort and elegance on the wrist.
Powered by the Caliber 6R5H automatic movement, the watch delivers a robust 72‑hour power reserve and operates at 21,600 vibrations per hour with 24 jewels. The gold‑colored oscillating weight is visible through the sapphire case back, underscoring Seiko’s mechanical artistry.
