Update: Herman Miller has confirmed that both new colorways of the Embody Gaming Chair – “Ignite” and “Nova” – are now available to buy in the UK (£1,715 GBP), Hong Kong ($17,558.00 HKD) and China.

Original Story (Oct 8, 2025): Herman Miller Gaming has announced two new colorways for its Embody Gaming Chair, “Ignite” and “Nova”, expanding its gamer-focused seating lineup with fresh finishes inspired by sportswear and fashion, respectively.

The lighter of the two palettes, “Ignite” pairs mineral grey upholstery with bright orange accents for what the brand describes as a “vibrant color combination” that it says was designed to keep gamers “inspired at each play of the game.” The new colorway is brighter and punchier than anything else you’ll find in the Herman Miller Gaming line-up, but the brand has been intentional with its placement, covering the back of the chair and the armrest and seat height adjustments, and combining this with a neutral grey and pops of black that perfectly compliment and subtly contrast each other. And if this particular shade of orange feels familiar, it should: that’s because Herman Miller’s new “Ignite” orange is reminiscent of Nike’s iconic “Infrared” orange – a colorway found on the OG Air Max 90 and several Jordan models including the Air Jordan 6.

On the other hand, the “Nova” edition combines the darker tones of of navy, purple and black, and is aimed at players who want a more understated setup. The deep purple hue on the new model contrasts the lighter shade of “Amethyst” found on the previous Embody Gaming Chair, a colorway closer to lavender that was paired with white.

Designed to give players more options for personal expression, the new versions follow the same ergonomic blueprint as the original Embody Gaming Chair – a design developed in partnership with Logitech G and introduced in 2020. Both new models feature the chair’s signature pixelated support system, copper-infused cooling foam, and flexible backrest, intended to maintain posture, balance, and comfort during extended gaming sessions.

Each retains the ergonomic innovations that distinguish the Embody Gaming Chair, from weight-distributing support to dynamic adjustment designed for movement without strain. The design continues Herman Miller’s research-based approach to performance seating, translating its workplace ergonomics heritage into gaming environments.

The new “Ignite” and “Nova” colorways for the Embody Gaming Chair are available now in North America via Herman Miller Gaming’s online store and select retail partners, priced at $1,995 USD. If you’re in the UK, you can sign-up here to receive information on future launch details.
