What to Expect at NYFW SS26
Off-White™ returns, classics re-emerge and the parties in between it all, including a special picnic hosted by Veuve Clicquot and Simon Porte Jacquemus.
Following a summer of Creative Director musical chair announcements, all eyes are on Fashion Month as the industry awaits debuts and comebacks. Change is in the air as new leaders preview their latest ready-to-wear collections. Additionally, New York Fashion Week holds a magnifying glass to upcoming trends and it all begins on September 11 with Michael Kors kickstarting the packed week.
This season, more than 60 runway shows and presentations will take place — some names appearing for the first time, while others make their return. L’Enchanteur and Gabe Gordon will display their ranges as newcomers alongside classic New York mainstays like Collina Strada and LaQuan Smith. There will also be plenty of parties to go around, including a highly anticipated launch from Veuve Clicquot and Simon Porte Jacquemus. Hypebeast has rounded up the must-see highlights for this NYFW, offering a preview of what to expect from the Spring/Summer 2026 season. Check them out below.
THE COMEBACKS
Off-White™ returns to NYC after presenting its sport-fueled production last September. Last year, the show’s front rows were filled with major celebrities and professional athletes alike, so this season brings even more excitement as fans await Ib Kamara’s latest array. Calvin Klein Collection usually brings a star-studded lineup as well.
Ones to watch additionally include returning names Collina Strada — which also usually occupies an early slot on the calendar, kicking off at 6pm on September 11 — and Khaite, which is slotted for 7pm on September 13. LaQuan Smith will also display a new collection after a brief hiatus from the official calendar.
NEWCOMERS & BREAKOUTS
Emerging talent is the beating heart of New York City’s creative pulse. Many global names got their humble starts in the bustling city, so the bi-annual showcase acts as a window into the future of fashion. 2025’s CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Finalists — Ashlyn, Bach Mai, Bernard James, Gabe Gordon, Don’t Let Disco, Heirlome, Jamie Okuma and Meruert Tolegen will show their talents under stage lights, while L’Enchanteur, led by Dynasty and Soull Ogun, will make its NYFW runway debut.
MAJOR MILESTONES
Brandon Maxwell will celebrate its 10th anniversary on September 9, ahead of the official calendar shows. Cos and Toteme will bring some international representation, while KidSuper’s Colm Dillane will show support for Brooklyn’s young artist scene by spotlighting local, burgeoning creatives through a double-feature event at Brooklyn Borough Hall on September 14.
THE PARTIES
Between the shows, presentations and activations, parties are always abound at NYFW. Each season grows bigger than the last, as more brands flock to the NYC scene to welcome the community into their universe. Lu’u Dan is throwing an after-hours dance party and noodle night, while Ralph Lauren will host a special performance for “Ralph’s Club.” Veuve Clicquot is bringing the South of France to New York City to celebrate the champagne house’s limited-edition bottle in collaboration with Simon Porte Jacquemus.
Keep your eyes on September 16 as well, as the CFDA calendar currently displays a surprise showing at 8pm to close out the week. Browse the full New York Fashion Week calendar on the CFDA’s website, and stay tuned to Hypebeast for coverage throughout the week.
