A first look at Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom was reportedly revealed at the Walt Disney Marketing Expo in Shanghai.
As per IGN, the exterior of the expo’s venue debuted the promotional art for Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday. Posts on X also claim that merch for the film and Spider-Man: Brand New Day were being exhibited. In addition, footage posted on the social media platform show laser projections of Doom as closeups, sitting on his throne and standing. Logos for the likes of the Avengers, Black Panther, Fantastic Four and X-Men then appear.
The public’s first visual teaser of RDJ as Doctor Doom was from the post-credits scene of The Fantastic Four: First Steps. His back is turned to the camera, but he can be seen interacting with Reed and Sue’s son, Franklin.
