Seiko has unveiled the Presage Classic Unglazed Arita Porcelain Limited Edition, a refined timepiece that seamlessly blends Japanese porcelain artistry with Seiko’s precision watchmaking. Limited to just 1,200 pieces worldwide, the watch pays tribute to Arita porcelain, first discovered in the 17th century in the Japanese town of Arita. Over 400 years, the region has gained renown for its exceptional craftsmanship, influencing generations of artisans.

Measuring slightly over 40mm, the case is meticulously crafted from stainless steel and finished with a super-hard coating for enhanced durability. Its warm white dial is a focal point, crafted from unglazed, high-temperature-fired porcelain, proudly boasting the authentic hue characteristic of Japan’s Arita porcelain. The dial also features a refined and textured matte finish that accentuates its three-dimensional, diamond-cut design ridges. These ridges elegantly and subtly reflect light, adding a touch of understated intrigue to the watch face.

The new watch is powered by an in-house-built 6R51 automatic caliber, ensuring reliable performance. This movement offers an accuracy of -15/+25 seconds per day and provides a substantial 72-hour power reserve. Designed for all genders, this unisex timepiece is paired with a black gloss leather strap. This strap is sustainably sourced and holds an LWG (Leather Working Group) certification, highlighting a commitment to environmental responsibility.

Priced at £1,650 GBP (approx. $2,236 USD), the Presage Classic Unglazed Arita Porcelain Limited Edition is now available for pre-order through Seiko’s UK webstore, with an official release set for July.
