Summary

  • adidas Golf x ANTi COUNTRY CLUB TOKYO team up for a denim-inspired Gazelle Golf sneaker and apparel capsule
  • Golf dress codes meet streetwear in this irreverent collab challenging the “no denim allowed” tradition at country clubs
  • Available Saturday, June 29 at 11AM JST on ANTi COUNTRY CLUB TOKYO’s website

It’s no secret that denim isn’t exactly welcome in golf’s more dressed-up circles. Sure, you can get away with jeans at the local muni or the range, but show up at most country clubs in anything with five pockets and an indigo wash and you’ll likely be turned away at the door. It’s a line Nike played with back in 2019 for their “No Denim Allowed” pack, and now it’s adidas’s turn. For this one, they’ve tapped ANTi COUNTRY CLUB TOKYO, the irreverent street-meets-golf label from the country that turned denim into an art form.

The centerpiece of the collab is the Gazelle Golf, one of adidas’s most beloved lifestyle silhouettes, recently adapted for the course. This version comes dressed in two tones of denim-like fabric, complete with a removable kiltie to nod at golf tradition while breaking it at the same time. The gum sole keeps things grounded, while a gold ANTi COUNTRY CLUB logo adds just the right touch of flash. Two sets of laces—navy and beige—round out the package, along with co-branded logos across the tongue and insole.

The shoes, along with a full apparel capsule, drop Saturday at 11AM JST (Friday, 10PM EDT) via A.C.C.’s website. There’s also a launch event at A BAR Shibuya kicking off Friday at 8PM.
