French luxury house Maison Margiela has confirmed their new creative director Glenn Martens will debut his first collection for the brand during Haute Couture Week this July. The fashion brand announces that the Belgian designer will begin with a Maison Margiela Artisanal show for Fall 2025, scheduled for July 7 to 10th in Paris.
In a statement shared to WWD, the brand stated, “This marks the beginning of an inspiring new chapter for the maison, rooted in our core creative values and shaped by Margiela’s couture heritage. Under Glenn’s direction, couture will continue to ignite creativity for the brand and drive boundary pushing designs.” Maison Margiela was officially named an haute couture house in 2012.
Martens was announced as the new Maison Margiela creative director last January by parent company OTB Group. Margiela’s continued presence during couture week carries on the legacy John Galliano left at the house, which he led for 10 years prior to Martens. Marten’s current artistic direction for the house is left under wraps at the moment. He previously held the lead creative role at the now defunct Y/Project for 11 years.
