Original Story: Jordan Brand is commemorating the legendary Michael Jordan‘s outstanding Rookie of the Year performance. Taking it back to 1985, which marked the beginning of the basketball icon’s career in the NBA, the shoe brand is bringing a low-top version to the classic “Rookie of the Year” colorway. 2018 saw the release of the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Rookie of the Year” and now next year, the color scheme makes a comeback for the Air Jordan 1 Low OG. The shoe is dressed in the staple sail, black, golden harvest and gym red color scheme, paying homage to the memorable attire Jordan wore during his ROTY acceptance. The shoe’s upper is in white leather while gold harvest suede highlights the overlays. The Swoosh, logos and laces are complemented in black while the “Nike Air” tongue label is accented in red. The shoe maintains the same nostalgic nods to MJ’s rookie year, similar to the ones released in 2018. Look out for the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Rookie of the Year” dropping next April.
