The collaboration between De Bethune and Swizz Beatz has entered its third chapter with the introduction of the DB Kind of Two GMT, a remarkable dual-faced timepiece that combines advanced horological engineering with artistic refinement.

Following the DW5 and DBD models featured in Seasons 1 and 2, this new addition epitomizes the seamless integration of function and aesthetics. Its reversible design allows wearers to switch effortlessly between two distinct dials, offering versatility and showcasing De Bethune’s expertise in crafting innovative timepieces.

Housed in a 43mm zirconium and satin-finished Grade 5 titanium case, the timepiece incorporates specially redesigned floating lugs for a precise flipping mechanism composed of 42 corrosion-resistant components. The dual-dial design is further elevated by golden accents and polished blued steel hands, complete with self-regulating twin barrels.

The technical challenges of creating a fully reversible watch required De Bethune to develop a sophisticated movement entirely within their Swiss Manufacture in l’Auberson. One dial features a contemporary aesthetic, drawing attention to the movement and focusing the display around the balance wheel at 6 o’clock, while polished and satin finishes create a harmonious interplay of light and depth. This side also integrates both a jumping seconds complication and a GMT function, demonstrating technical mastery alongside visual appeal.

On the other side, the classic GMT face incorporates elements from historical DB8 and DB10 models, with a hand-guilloché central motif subtly accented with hints of blue, evoking the Maison’s iconic blued hands or a moonlit seascape. The polished mirror-finished steel jumping seconds hand adds a poetic elegance, enhancing the watch’s timeless quality.

Much like Swizz Beatz himself, an artist known for blending diverse genres, the DB Kind of Two GMT reflects a unique versatility. Limited to just 10 pieces with a price tag of $235,000 USD, the timepiece is available for inquiry through De Bethune.
