Stone Island launched its “Community as a Form of Research” project as a way to celebrate the different sub-cultures that make up its global footprint. For Fall/Winter 2024, the first edition of the series starred rock’n’roll legend Liam Gallagher, DJ and producer Peggy Gou, actor and curator Russell Tovey and skateboarder Sage Elsesser in an effort to define “exactly what makes the Stone Island community so distinct.” Now, the brand is continuing that quest with a new slate of faces for Spring/Summer 2025.

Photographed (again) by David Sims and styled by Max Pearmain, the latest chapter in the campaign stars film director Spike Lee, musician John Glacier, hip-hop artist Giggs and footballer and businessman Hidetoshi Nakata.

Each campaign image features a short Q&A with the aforementioned talent, as part of the brand’s research-oriented approach to brand-building. Across the sartorial delivery, Lee wears a jacket made of monofilament nylon canvas and silver metallic polyurethane film, and Giggs sports a mock-neck knit made of thick viscose and nylon rope. Glacier, meanwhile, poses in a nylon-ripstop parka comprising flat weft yarn with a papery texture, and Nakata dons a field jacket in Raso Gommato 3L Laster Camo.

Notably, the next chapter of Stone Island’s eclectic, fame-fueled campaign will star Better Gift Shop founder Avi Gold, basketball player Jalen Green, actor Ethan Ruan, New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson, musician Gene Gallagher and chef Ruth Rogers.
