- Vacheron Constantin unveils three 36.5 mm Traditionnelle Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin models in pink gold, white gold and diamond-set white gold
- The design echoes Ref. 43031, with balanced opaline dials, Dauphine hands and moonphase displays
Vacheron Constantin has been unveiled three new interpretations of its Traditionnelle Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin watch, paying tribute to the enduring tradition of classical Haute Horlogerie as the Manufacture approaches its 270th anniversary. Housed in a refined 36.5 mm case, the new models are offered in 18k 5N pink gold, 18k white gold and a diamond-set white gold version. This release also marks the Maison’s first non-gem-set Traditionnelle watches in this smaller case size.
Measuring just 8.43 mm thick, the watches embody Geneva’s Haute Horlogerie tradition, balancing technical mastery with timeless aesthetics. Their design codes – stepped round case, fluted caseback, straight lugs, and slender bezel – pay homage to the Maison’s classical heritage while remaining distinctly contemporary.
The dial design emphasizes balance and legibility, echoing the celebrated Ref. 43031 from 1983. A silver-toned opaline background hosts three symmetrically arranged registers for the calendar functions, complemented by a moon phase display at 6 o’clock. Faceted Dauphine hands and applied baton-style hour markers reinforce the classical aesthetic.
Each model introduces subtle variations: the pink gold version pairs tonal harmony with a dark blue moonphase and matching strap; the white gold edition contrasts pink gold hands and markers with a lighter blue moonphase and light brown strap; while the diamond-set white gold model adopts a minimalistic palette, accented by grain-set diamonds and a dark blue strap.
At the heart of these timepieces lies the Manufacture Calibre 1120 QP, a self-winding movement renowned for its ultra-thin architecture and perpetual calendar complication. Comprising 276 components, the caliber automatically accounts for leap years and irregular months, requiring no manual correction until 2100. Visible through the sapphire caseback, the movement showcases meticulous hand-finishing, including Côtes de Genève, hand-bevelled bridges, circular graining, and a 22k gold open-worked rotor shaped as the Maltese cross, underscoring Vacheron Constantin’s dedication to craftsmanship.
