For fans of high fantasy and cinematic grandeur, 2026 is poised to be a landmark year as New Line Cinema’s The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring celebrates its 25th Anniversary. To mark the occasion, Fathom Entertainment and Warner Bros. Pictures are bringing the entire extended edition of Peter Jackson’s iconic trilogy back to the big screen.
The cinematic journey through Middle-earth is scheduled to run across two weekends in January 2026. The re-releases will screen January 16 to January 18 and January 23 to January 25. Notably, the first weekend will feature special DBOX presentations where available, providing stunning audio and visuals. The Fellowship of the Ring will screen on Friday, January 16, and Friday, January 23. The Two Towers is slated for Saturday, January 17, and Saturday, January 24. Finally, The Return of the King will play on Sunday, January 18, and Sunday, January 25.
Adding a coveted layer of collectibility to the event, Fathom Entertainment also revealed details on limited-edition concession vessels. Participating AMC Theatres will offer a Collectible Map Tin with a Quest Magnet Set. Meanwhile, Regal and select independent theatres will feature the “One Ring” design. These special keepsakes are available only at participating locations.
