TOHO has announced a global celebration initiative to mark the 10th anniversary of the My Hero Academia anime. Unveiled at Jump Festa, the festivities follow a landmark week for the franchise: after eight seasons and 170 episodes, the long-running series officially concluded its TV run with a hypercharged finale on December 13, 2025. This ending follows the conclusion of Kohei Horikoshi’s original manga, boasting 100 million copies in circulation, which ended its decade-long run earlier this year in August. To honor this legacy, a special teaser visual illustrated by character designer Yoshihiko Umakoshi was revealed, featuring ten distinct versions of the protagonist, Deku, alongside a commemorative anniversary logo and a dedicated landing page for 2026 updates.
The anniversary project is headlined by the reveal of a brand-new extra episode titled “More,” scheduled to premiere on May 2, 2026, on Crunchyroll. This bonus episode is adapted from the manga’s 431st chapter and explores the lives of Deku and his classmates eight years after their graduation from U.A. High School.
In addition to new animation, fans can look forward to the My Hero Academia in Concert world tour, a live musical experience featuring the work of composer Yuki Hayashi. The tour will launch on May 30, 2026, in Yokohama before heading to international venues.
The official anniversary celebrations will kick off on April 3, 2026, marking exactly one decade since the first episode aired, with Toho promising further projects and collaborations throughout the milestone year.
