MAYBACH Eyewear Marks a Global First with Badshah Collaboration

Teaming up with the Indian rap icon to design a limited-edition capsule of glasses.

Following on from the release of its Quincy Icon collection, which honored famed producer and composer Quincy Jones, MAYBACH Icons of Luxury reignites its connection with the music industry in a global eyewear collaboration with multi-platinum Indian rapper Badshah.

As the first-ever South Asian creative to team up with the luxury design house, the latest partnership marks a landmark moment for MAYBACH as well as Badshah who continues on his global ascent hot off his North America tour.

Chiming in on the venture, CEOs Jutta Kahlbetzer and Wolfgang Thelen shared, “For the first time, we are seamlessly integrating MAYBACH’s rich heritage with the distinctive artistic expression embodied by Badshah, reinterpreting modern luxury from the lens of diversity and inclusivity.” Adding, “By aligning with a creative architect like Badshah, MAYBACH Eyewear not only engages with the dynamic Indian market but also honors the nation’s diverse cultural landscape.

This blend of rich heritage and distinctive artistic expression comes to life through a capsule of five limited-edition optical glasses and sunglasses, co-designed by the rapper with “complete creative freedom to infuse my artistic vision into the designs” he shared. Within the collection features MAYBACH’s signature THE ARTIST III and THE KING III silhouettes, selected for their contemporary aesthetics that resonate with the rapper’s polished streetwear style and own affinity for fashion.

For the rimless THE ARTIST III, Badshah introduces a sonically inspired design with curved titanium forms on the temple that mimic sound waves. This iteration lands in two vibrant colorways, including “Electric Yellow” and “Deep Blue.”

Elsewhere, THE KING III aviator series pays homage to India’s landscape with a “Camouflage” model, a Himalayas-inspired “Snow Camouflage” pair, and a “Tigers of India” model, which, as its name suggests, draws on the country’s national animal. THE KING III line also features a special-edition pair of glasses encrusted with 90 diamonds, dropping in a highly exclusive run of only five units.

Reflecting on the capsule in an official statement, Badshah says, “Designing eyewear that not only looked visually appealing but also felt comfortable—striking the perfect balance between form and function—posed a unique challenge during the design phase, yet it significantly enhanced my overall experience. This collaboration is truly one of a kind, and I am immensely grateful to be part of this historic moment.”
